Sailing Cross

Monks on the remote island of Illauntauing off the Kerry coast were faced with two main concerns: the practical and the spiritual.  
The practical question of how to feed the body was answered by the sea while the spiritual question of nourishing the soul was met by faith.
Both these dimensions are described by this ancient carved rock on the island which depicts a cross standing in the waves while it also resembles a masted boat.

Q. How are the Studio's designs made?
A. All Wild Goose's work is handmade by skilled craft-workers using a cold cast method. Each piece has a shell of pure cast iron or bronze backed by a resin and ceramic core. Any variations in finish are part of its appeal.
